Very cheaply madeDec 19, 2009

I would advise against getting this phone. It is not put together very well, e.g. the wire from the headset to the base does not have a good connection causing the voice output to go in and out, also when you hang up, the phone doesn't detect it most of the time (for game purposes) so you have to push it down with your hands. Overall, it just feels light and cheap. The games that it plays are more complicated than they should be as stated by a previous reviewer. You basically have to dial from a set of preset phone numbers after it prompts you and then follow the next sequence of instructions in order to get it work properly. If you press buttons or hang up out of sequence, then it'll either repeat the instructions or go mute. Without adult supervision, I doubt a 4-7 year old could figure it out.
Edit: If you plan on getting this phone as a fake phone for your kids....don't. They're smarter than you and will go for the real thing instead.

Most annoying toy ever!!Dec 30, 2009
By Gaile Let me first say that I have 4 kids, so I've seen a LOT of toys in this household. Unfortunately, this annoying phone is one of them. I bought it based on the GREAT reviews I read here, thinking it would be fun for my 3 and 4 year old to play with. WRONG. Firstly, it comes with a bunch of punch-out cardboard coins that will inevitably get lost. -The "tray" that holds them slides open very easily. Exactly what parents want in a toy, a bunch of cardboard coins to lose all around the house. :)
In addition, if you don't dial the exact number, the phone keeps saying "try again" in the VERY annoying voice. And then it just plays a "dead" dial tone. Woo Hoo, now that's a fun toy!!
Save the $10 and buy something less incredibly annoying and frustrating for both parents and kids!!

It IS a good toy for kids!Feb 10, 2010
By On your side I think the toy has excellent educational value. I beg to differ with the seemingly impatient parents out there who felt the phone was too chatty, and complicated to use. I think this phone is wonderful in that it teaches children to listen carefully to directions, creates memory and organizational skills, and most important they must learn cooperation with this toy if they are playing in a group setting. This toy is excellent for families with children ranging in ages from non-readers to adult. This toy is easily adaptable for large groups such as a small party or playgroup. At our house we have game-night, but have so few family games that are adaptable for the youngest who isn't reading yet, but wants very much to be able to play a game with everyone. This is something the whole family can play together, but the youngest gets to be the star...that is if the older players are patient and up for going along with the fun. I do have to admit I had to return my first phone because it did not work...it seemed to have an electronic problem, but we've had no problems with our second. It seems sturdy enough, and yes, there are alot of little cardboard tokens/chips. But if you teach the children to keep them in their storage compartment, all is fine. To sum it up, this is a very fun game for children, it can be fun for adults too if they see the skills it teaches, and with the special pricing on-line is quite reasonably priced for a toy of the genre.

Good fun for the kidsNov 20, 2009
By Working Mommy The kids age 4 and 6 loved playing with this toy. It is even more fun when they have a few friends over to play.

So i got this for Christmas for my kids and i really wish i would have thought twice about it. Its not a very good game its hard for my little ones to figure out, so i guess maybe if you have a grade school child they may like it. It ended up at the bottom of the toy box with in a few days and hasn't came out since, it will go in the yard sale pile most likely and i truly doubt it will be missed. It was for sure a waste of money in my book.
