 BatteryKing.com's Novatel 2372 Battery NOT compatible with AT&T 2372Oct 25, 2011

I ordered a replacement/spare battery for my AT&T (Novatel) Model 2372 MiFi hotspot unit. The BatteryKing.com one that I received looked identical to the OEM one that I received from AT&T. However, it would NOT charge successfully in my AT&T MiFI 2372 unit. Closely comparing the OEM v. the BatteryKing.com batteries revealed some subtle differences on the leading edge of the battery. First, the + & - copper connector strips on the BatteryKing one are not as long as those on the OEM one from AT&T. Second, the white square on the BatteryKing one is not quite in the same location (it's about 0.25" offset). I am assuming these subtle differences are causing my charging problem. Maybe the AT&T branded version of the Novatel 2372 is made slightly different than the generic Novatel 2372.

 OEM Battery for Mifi 4510 (Verizon 4G LTE)Jul 02, 2011

Battery is identical to the one that came with my Verizon Mifi 4510. However, I noticed that the this battery charged faster out of the box. This may be due to the fact that it is newer than the battery that was packaged with my Mifi. Works great, fits perfectly. Use is about 3 hours when watching TV/Movies (streamed) and 4.5 hours if used only for browsing. I tested this informally with only one device (iPad2) via a secure connection. If you would like to charge your battery while using your Mifi I suggest this 3rd party charger: Car and Home 2 in 1 Combo Charger for the Verizon MiFi 2200 - uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology it works great with both the Novatel 4510 and the Novatel 2200.

Battery Does Not WorkFeb 11, 2012

I received this battery 2 days ago, charged it and it would not power on my MiFi. After comparing it to the original battery I noticed a small difference between the 2 and then when I came back here I noticed the same difference between the 2 pictures provided for the battery. My original battery has the specs of:
- Voltage: 3.7 V
- Current: 1530 mAh
- Capacity: 5.66 Wh
and the one I received had the specs of:
- Voltage: 3.7 V
- Current: 1500 mAh
- Capacity: 5.6 Wh
Now I am not sure if I have received a defective battery or if that minor spec is enough to not make my MiFi power on.

Multiplex Systems is the only seller that sells GENUINE Novatel batteries. That's why their price is almost $30. Everybody else sells cheap OEM copies, which are faulty & incompatible. There are NO GENUINE Novatel batteries for $20 or less.
