1Junk!Jun 22, 2010
By E. Profitt
I ordered a second cable because the first one was excellent (see review below). The second cable I received was a piece of junk nor is it the one pictured. It fell apart on first use.
The quality of the second cable is so bad that I can't recommend purchasing cables form this vendor (ACC or whatever they are listed as).

The cable is a good quality and sturdy cable. The only negative seems to be that back ups of my phone and data exchanges seem to take a little longer but it's not that noticeable. I'm not sure if that's the cable or my computer/phone. I've broken at least four of the cables from Apple with no more than gentle use. They've all broken in the same place at the neck of blade plug in. With this cable's sturdier connectors, I look forward to having a cable that I hopefully won't have to replace in 6 months.

3I'll Give You Such a Pinch!Jan 25, 2011

At the AT&T Store you will pay a lot more than advertised here for a simple sync cable for an iPhone. How do I know? Because since there's an AT&T store right across the street from where I work that's where I initially went. And I paid the extra bucks too. What I got was a nice, durable cable that is 10x better than the cheap cable that comes with a new iPhone. And if you're reading this your cable probably already doesn't work because it's coming apart at the base where the cord connects to the plug.

So now my wife and son's cable needs replacing and I can't see paying AT&T's price for a cord. So I found the cable on this product page at Amazon and gave it a try. It's not bad. It works. It's way more durable than the cable that came with the phone. But be warned...unlike the factory equipped cable that came with the phone, instead of just sliding in and out, this cable snaps into place on your iPhone. In other words, when you disconnect it from your iPhone you'll need to give both sides of the base of the cable that connects to the phone a pinch to get the cable to release the phone. So if you're used to just pulling the cord off your iPhone and you accidentally do that when this cable is attached, you will have a much bigger problem with your iPhone than needing a replacement sync cable.

After some searching on Amazon I thought that I had found the cord that AT&T is selling much cheaper here: Cable Cord For Apple iPhone. But it turns out after receiving one that it is just the flimsy piece of junk that comes with the iPhone. I'll do some looking around and post an Amazon product link (if I find one) to the more durable AT&T style cable cord that is heavy duty compared to the fragile cord that came with the phone.

5Works great with solid connectionAug 31, 2010

This works great on my iphone 4 in a silicone case. No problems whatsoever. It seems to attach better than the Apple cable really. I have not used them much for syncing on the computer because that is where I keep the original cable. But I use them all the time for charging and playing music through my car receiver.

4Length not shownNov 16, 2010

My -1 star review is only becasue someone may think this is a longer cable than it really is. I knew from a friend that its only about 2-1/2 ft. I used if for an in-car ipod connector so I dont have cable coiled up or hanging all over the place. So far, so good on it working.

5Unbelievable ValueMay 22, 2011
By Rich
These cables work exactly like the originals and at a fraction of the cost. I purchased 3 and including shipping stll paid less than half the price of 1 OEM cable. They transfer data, synch, charge everything the same as the original and the quality appears to be equal. I would buy them again if needed (and if the cat chews these up like she did the originals I will!)
